The word is from bergs, which means “a big, dense, hard, black rock,” and is a fitting name for this project. The project uses a giant berg of black sand, which gets me thinking about how we tend to compartmentalize our lives in a way that is extremely disjointed. These two projects are both about giving and taking, and that’s hard to do when you’re constantly juggling them.
For instance, I’m a huge fan of the idea of “business downloads,” or downloads that are meant to be used for a business purpose.
