This is a blog post about why people should read the Sac Business Journal. It is written by ____, who has been writing articles for The Sacramento Bee and Sacramento Magazine since 1995.
I work as an editor at The Sacramento Bee where I write reports on small business in the greater Sacramento area. My job also includes cultivating content from other sources to bring readers information they can use to build their own businesses or careers. This includes providing coverage of regional events, such as Startup Weekend, that may be newsworthy but lack resources for publicizing themselves. For more than 20 years I have pursued my passion while working with some amazing organizations: first at KXTV Channel Ten News then living abroad in Russia and France before returning home and joining The Bee in 1999.
In addition to writing, I help produce The Sacramento Business Journal and promote it through social media channels like Twitter, Facebook, and LinkedIn. What is a Summary Conviction Offence?
My goal is for you as a reader to come away from my work with some new knowledge that can be put into action or at the very least a feeling of enlightenment on business topics that may not have been previously considered.
I hope you enjoy reading my posts! Let me know your thoughts by leaving comments below each post or sending emails via our contact form.

Sacramento is a city that was founded in 1848 by John Sutter, Jr. as a trading post on the American River for gold seekers during the California Gold Rush, although it had been settled about twenty years earlier when some families from New York State moved to what became known as the “Sac” (for sacramental) Valley in Eastern California with horses, wagons, cattle and other agricultural implements.
The word “sacramento,” which means “haven” or “refuge,” originally applied only to this river valley but later came into use vernacularly for all communities blessed with similar geographic attributes. The
