Do you need a business ethics perspective for your website? Would like to know a bit more about that.
As a web developer, it’s my responsibility to make sure that our websites are as ethical as they can be. I have been asked that question a lot, and the most frequently cited reason I get for not doing this is because it’s too time-consuming to create a full-fledged ethics statement. So in our case, we are not going to create such a statement because it just hasn’t been our experience that it’s necessary.
As a matter of fact, it is our experience that this is the case. When I first started working on our website, I found myself constantly looking up and down the list of what is ethical and what isn’t. I was amazed at how difficult it was to find something ethical in the first place.
I think this is because we are so used to thinking that everything should be ethical that we are sometimes shocked when we find it doesn’t. It is very easy to get hung up on the wrong ethical standards and then when you see something that is out of the norm, it feels like you have to immediately make change to fit in with it.
This is where the business ethics powerpoint comes in handy. Its a great list of general ethics that I have used on a few classes of work. It is also, importantly, a good guide for those of us who are new to being ethical. For example, this list includes things like things you should always do, things you shouldn’t do, things you can do, things you shouldnt do, and things that are not ethical.
This is a good place to start if you’re new to being ethical. These are all good ethics but I would also suggest that it be used with caution. By using it you may find yourself questioning your own ethics.
The list is really just a list of things that are good and bad, but I would recommend using it with caution and only doing those things that can be done with a little self-awareness. I know that sounds a little hippy, but I’m not saying this to be a hippy. I am saying this because I have personally been asked to use the lists in class and they have made me question my own ethics.
Good or bad, these lists are useful. They have helped me come up with some of my own suggestions. Some of them have been helpful. Some have not been helping. I would recommend using these lists with caution, but I would also recommend using them with a little self-awareness.
As we all know, business ethics are really important. It’s hard to get very far on this subject without knowing what you are doing. It is important to look at your company’s practices and take them into consideration when making your business decisions. If you aren’t careful you may end up regretting those decisions later.
